1960’s

This is where it all began – the first or ‘our’ travels together.  This was our Honeymoon trip from Adelaide, South Australia to Mt. Buffalo, Victoria.  Quite an adventure at the time because South Australia has no snowy regions so Mt. Buffalo in the snow was a real adventure.  Nobody told us about the need for anti-freeze in the radiator nor did we know about snow chains and icy roads.  There were no signs posted on the approach roads in those days, however, we survived without any damage.

The original negatives for the two attached photographs were in colour but they had degraded to the point that black and white looks better.

The car, by the way, is a 1948 Studebaker Champion, my first car.
