There is just one day in the year to catch the sun setting through the end of the jetty as the it travels from its southernmost summer sunset position to its northernmost sunset position. The yacht in to photo was a bonus.
The Drunk – an interesting story and a lesson why it is always a good thing to have a camera with you whenever you can.
I was sitting in the Jetty Bar at Glenelg having a drink and listening to live music with my wife when the drunk (his words) at the next table said, “Excuse me. I am drunk. Can I ask you a question?”. I said. “Sure.” He asked, “Are you a photographer?” I said, “No. But it is my hobby.” He said, “Would you take my photo?” As luck had it, I had the right camera and lens to take a suitable photo in a dark bar. I said, “No problem” and he struck a nice pose. He was most polite. I have yet to see him again so that I can give him a print.
